<title>DeskCNC 'doing its own thing' Feb 12th 2005 </title>

	<description>
A number of users seem to have intermittent problems when running deskcnc. In my opinion, this is often caused by inadequate wiring of the limit switches, etc., allowing electrical interference into the controller. It is not good practice to have ttl level switching in this situation. It helps to stay withh a more stable version of the software, too. ;-)

<title>DeskCNC software stability Dec 7th 04 </title>

	<description>
As expected, some versions of DeskCNC are not as stable as we would like. If you are getting unexplained errors, then use the link below to get the latest 'most bug-free' version.

<title>V2.0.0.89 of DeskCNC software available as of Oct 25th </title>

	<description>
Download the latest version (V2.0.0.89) from the link on our site. It now handles some hpgl code, but apparently not enough to be useful, at the moment. I've also added the connection diagram for the second generation controller.

<title>V2.0.0.86 of DeskCNC software available as of Sept 28th </title>

	<description>
Download the latest version (V2.0.0.86 (3.0 Mb) from here, (bottom of page). With the advent of the second generation controller, we can expect frequent software version releases. In future, I will not attempt to notify you of these individual updates, the chances are they will not effect the controllers we are using at the moment. If it ain't broke - don't fix it. .

<title> Conversion program </title>
<description>
This small, free program is stuffed full of conversion constants, and if there isn't enough for you, you can add your own. You can use it to convert imperial stepper motor constants to metric units, for example,

<title>2nd generation deskcnc controller available soon </title>

	<description>
A new, faster controller will be available within a few days. You do not really want this yet, until the bugs are ironed out, but I thought you ought to know. It is likely to be a tad more expensive than the original controller, but the firmware will be upgradeable via its built in bootloader. (Follow the link from my home page).

<title>Eagle PCB layout, Gerber, DeskCNC - download smaller pdf now (13/09/04)</title>

	<description>
As the result of one or two comments, I've worked a bit more on the Acrobat/pdf conversion, and I think the gremlins have been removed - the file is now as it should be, a mere 2.5MBytes, with no blank pages. It loads and prints fast now, so no excuse for not giving it the once over, trying it out, and feeding back comments to us.

<title>Eagle PCB layout, Gerber, DeskCNC, Acrobat cock-up </title>

	<description>
For those who have persevered in downloading the 30Mb .pdf file, Acrobat decided to insert a blank page at page number 11, this means the index page numbers are in error. If you get problems printing Acrobat files, check the 'print as image' box, and wait, and wait, and wait... Don't you just love this stuff!
